Jacqui Comstock, PhD

Biography

I started as a postdoctoral researcher in Fall 2023. I obtained my PhD in Summer 2023 in the Interdepartmental Graduate Program in Marine Studies from UCSB with Professor Craig Carlson as my advisor. In addition to research, I am a lecturer in the EEMB department and teach a variety of classes from marine microbiology to animal physiology and evolution.

Research

My postdoctoral research focuses on characterizing particle degradation and particle-associated microbial communities at the Bermuda Atlantic Time Series as part of the BIOS-SCOPE project.
